[glow=red,2,300]• Drama must die, so give me some way To salvage this life, Finally it’s over // ~[/glow]
"Here we are," the pale tabby leader meowed, entering the dimly-lit tunnel that led to the nursery den. The thick green moss was warm underfoot, and in the corner was a sleepy-looking queen suckling her kits. As her leader entered, the queen dipped her head in graceful acknowledgement. Lightstar smiled slightly in her direction, nodding in return, before turning to his companion.
"Your new home," he purred, quite unnecassarily, gazing at Brackenleaf with bright eyes. He moved aside to allow her a full view, watching warmly to see her reaction. His tailtip twitched, and his claws flexed unconsciously, unsheithing them before they returned to their hold.
ooc;; kinda suckish but whatever xD

ooc; OMG a queen <3 -pokes random queen- xDD
Brackenleaf .x. Save me from being confused... Show me what I'm looking for...
bic; Brackenleaf had stopped right outside the nursery behind her leader as he went in before her. Taking a deep breath, she thought about what she had set in motion and stepped across the threshold of the nursery.
Sure you don't want to be a warrior? 'Cuz you'd be a really good one, I'm sure of it! said the relentless voice originating from somewhere inside the deep recesses of her mind. But Brackenleaf didn't even bother to reply to the teasings of the voice for once. She was too wrapped up in the sight before her, for it was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. The miracle of life was, well, miraculous for Brackenleaf. The gray feline had always loved kits, and had a wish for her own. Motherhood was very important to her, and to see it in action was breathtaking for her.
So breathtaking, in fact, that the honey-undertoned she-cat actually ceased breathing for a few moments. It wasn't until she realized she was holding her breath that she let out a big whoosh of air and replaced her expression from a respectful dip of her head towards the resting queen to a silly, lopsided sort of grin.
"Thank you, Lightstar," Brackenleaf murmured, "For allowing me to be a part of this wonderful experience. I'm sure I'll do my best. I won't let the clan, and especially you, down." Noticing the warm expression on the tom's face, the slender feline thingyed her head to the side with a questioning expression aimed at him.

Lightstar purred, giving a small, quiet chuckle as he watched her reactions.
"I don't doubt your abilities," he told Brackenleaf with a smile. "You won't let us down." He was quite sure of his words, and his tone conveyed his tone. As she tilted ((I hate how we cant use the other word. ><'' )) her head curiously, the tabby blinked and shook his head. He realized he had been staring; but he had been taken up by a fond affection for the gray she-cat. The leader was glad to see she was happy in her new position, though he wasn't sure if he should tell her that, least of all how he would tell her.
For now, he'd just leave it at that. Maybe if he worked up enough courage...
Just then, he heard pawsteps along tunnel. Lifting his pale-hued paw to take a step forward, he tasted the air. As he recognized the scent, he placed his foot back to the mossy floor just as his sister Whiteheart padded into the nursery.
"Hello, Lightstar, Brackenleaf" she greeted with a nod, smiling. The white and brown she-cat was slightly plump, pregnant with her second litter and Lightstar swallowed.
He remembered her first litter, where one of the tomkits had died from Greencough - the same bought that Whiteheart had caught, and Silvermoon had died from. His whiskers twitched at the memory, and he pushed back the memories. Later, later... You've already been through this once today, he reminded himself silently. The tom didn't have time for this now.
"Good afternoon, Whiteheart," he greeted with a calm smile, none of his inner turmoils slipping through his carefully managed facade.

ooc; OH MEH EFFIN GARSH. Fawneh ish back @_@ Where has she been? Nobody knows >:]
bic; Brackenleaf nodded and smiled once more at the tom before turning back to the queen. The warmth in her gaze only strengthened as it shifted to Whiteheart entering the nursery, carrying her large belly full of kits. The gray feline padded over to the pregnant she-cat and dipped her head.
"Hi Whiteheart!" greeted Brackenleaf enthusiastically, "Have you heard the news?"
She slapped her tail over her mouth quickly and glanced around to make sure she hadn't disturbed the queen and her kits in the corner. Lowering her voice to just above a whisper, she added, "Lightstar just made me a honorary queen. I'm going to help out in the nursery, bringing fresh-kill to ya'll, playing with the kits, and watching them if you need to go out. Just wait until I get pregnant with my own kits!"
Her eyes blazed and a triumphant smile lit her features.

ooc;; *tackles Fawneh* RIsa's missed you!! She was worried D= But she's glad you're backkkk!!! <3
Risa thinks she might have Whiteheart as an actual rp character soon. Or meybeh put her up for adoption. *ponders*
(PS: Third person ish funn. =])
bic;; Whiteheart purred in reply. "That's great, Brackenleaf!" she meowed, her soft brown eyes bright. "I'll definately be needing you around," she laughed softly, thinking to her future kits. Her tail flicked and she smiled. "Have you always wanted to be in the nursery?"
The queen knew Brackenleaf by name, and they had been apprentices together briefly, but she had never really spoken to the gray she-cat. Now, the two would probably become great friends. She was looking forward to that. The younger she-cat seemed extremely pleased to be Head Queen. She glanced over at her brother, wondering what he was thinking - she could hardly tell anymore.
Lightstar blinked, sitting back as he watched Brackenleaf converse with his sister. As Whiteheart met his gaze, he purposely glanced away, and over towards the suckling queen, who's kits had now fallen asleep. She was cleaning them each with slow, careful movements. He thought he heard purring, but it was drowned in the other she-cat's words. The tabby tom shifted his gaze back towards Brackenleaf and Whiteheart, not meaning to eavesdrop even though the words' meaning didn't register.
With a sigh, the tom rose to his paws and flicked his tail in a silent gesture of farewell, before padding away, his creamy-pale feet hitting the ground softly. As he left the nursery, his heart swelled with joy as he thought of how happy Brackenleaf was. He was glad he had helped her with her dream.
