[glow=red,2,300]It’s you and me Let me play the lead role in your wildest dream So baby tell me what’s your fantasy Matter fact, just kick back I’ll show you things you’ll never believe[/glow]
Dark fog hid the flat plains, shrouding the ground in gloom. Only a large rock nearby stood above the perilous smog. The stone was smooth, worn with age and the elements that were free to rise on the moorland. It was sleek, gleaming like silver under the eye of the round, yellowed opal high in the sky. Shadows whispered and demons crept past the fog, daring to raise their heads high. Eyes glinted in the dark, and several slipped loose of the small clumps of demons and meandered to the forest that led down to Earth.
Only one such demon held her head with pride and power. Thick white fur rippled over her petite figure as she padded onwards. The feline strutted through the fog, gaze swirling past the groups of her people. Her warm amber eye caught sight of a handsome ginger tom and she winked playfully, while her black tail-tip twitched invitingly towards a large-shouldered tabby. When the tabby stepped forward, thinking she meant it, she laughed breezily and stepped past. The ginger shook his head slowly, as if he couldn't believe the tabby had fallen for it; the tabby was obviously a new-comer to these lands.
The sleek she-cat did not bother to turn and watch; she had business to attend to. Her small dark wings churned the air slowly as she approached the rock, standing tall and lonely. From this angle, the feline could not see what she was looking for, but she knew it was there. Ducking her head, her gaze peered through the fog and her blue eye seemed to glow; the mist slowly swirled away, as if she had power over it.
Perhaps she did.
She paused, before loping towards the crack that split the rock in half. It was short, not any higher than the fog line, but wide and dark, a gaping black hole against the pale gray. The feline blinked lazily as she stopped just at the rock. She didn't bother to peer in, for she knew even her strengthened eye-sight could not pierce the gloom. This was her master's layer, and only he was strong enough for it. Her heart clenched but she ignored it, knowing this was not the time to face the truth. Instead, she opened her maw, her pink nose and snow-white whiskers quivering with excitement.
"Firegaze," she called, her voice low and clear. It lilted through the air, leaving behind a sweet ring, like honey. It was well-known for being able to hold a warm, smooth glow, but could easily switch to a freezing cold tone, like her odd-eyed gaze. "I have news of two new arrivals, and, after careful research, I have found a match for myself."
And then - Rosetwine grinned wickedly.

Firegaze blinked open his red eyes. They cut through the gloom and saw Rosetwine at his dens entrance. He listened to the news of new Death Wings. There were more and more each day. He stood up and his black pelt rippled over his muscles. He padded through the gloom as if it didn't exist. He padded out of his den. Blood red stripes were visible as if an invisible light had hit them. "Who is your charge?" he asked.

As Firegaze stepped forward, his eyes alight with the fire that gave him his name, Rosetwine tilted her head in greeting. Dark fur seemed to sing as his muscular body cut through the gloom that dominated his lands; Rosetwine almost leaped with joy as she glanced over him. Her eyes shone, before she quickly caught herself and toned it done. She allowed a single smile claim her lips, her eyes half-lidded lazily.
"Foxtracks, of GustClan. He has an slight -" she wanted to laugh at her choice of words. It was more than slight, she knew, "- affection for the GustClan medicine cat. A troubled cat, indeed."
Her tail twitched, the only spot of dark upon the she-cat beyond her small wings. She wondered if Firegaze approved of her pick, though she managed to appear as if she didn't give a d*mn. It was her job as the Death Wing's Watcher to pair up the demons with the living. Her eyes, both fire and ice, twinkled watchfully, waiting for a reaction from the cold, evil tom-cat.

Firegaze nodded his approval. "That could work to our advantage" he mewed approvingly. "My charge is also from GustClan" he mewed "a warrior named Moonflight." His gaze pierced through the gloom studying the Death Wings. "We need to gain power in the clans" he mewed. "I want more Death Wings paired with those evil, devious leaders, deputies and medicine cats."

She shivered in delight, though her tail twitched as if it was nothing. Rosetwine grinned, her eyes flashing to his face, her left eye - the amber - glinting like dark, molten gold.
"Yes, Firegaze," she nodded slowly. "The older ones, the experienced ones - many of them have charges. I think later today I will take the newer recruits out for a training session, to learn about them." Rosetwine paused with a small smile, eager for the chance to . . . learn. "I'll search for their charges tonight."
She turned, sitting beside the powerful tom as they watched over the fog-choked moorland. Her tail twined elagantly around her paws as she watched Firegaze from the corner of her eye. Without looking at him directly, she opened her maw once more.
"I'll help bring power to this devastated land," she promised Firegaze quietly, almost a whisper, but in her mind, a stronger vow had wound its way around her mind.
I'll make you mine.

"The angels will be getting a visit very soon" he mewed. A sinister intent lie behind that comment. "Once you train the new Death Wings" he mewed "I need to know the strongest of them, I still have to choose a helper".

"Of course, Firegaze," she purred, rising to her paws and slipping past him, her tail curling around his muzzle before she eased herself away. "I'll take my leave now, if you don't mind." Her mew was almost teasing, though she wondered if the cruel tom even noticed.
No matter.
She had plenty of time to please the tom. Rosetwine knew that only too well, and her wings seemed to glow with a red haze at the thought, before she quelled the glow quickly. The fog quickly shrouded her figure, a giants' breath engulfing her whole, as she padded slowly, carefully, out of the leader's den. She paused outside, just to the left of the slit in the rock so he couldn't see her - just in case. Ears pricked to hear his call if he still needed her, she waited for a moment.
