Icestar padded into camp. Her brown fur was covered in a snowy dust. Her icy gaze scanned ther clearing. "Frostfoot!"she yowled. She had to tell him the good news.

[glow=red,2,300]I've got a reason now to bury this alive;; Another little white lie.xo
[/glow] Lying near a snow-covered thorn bush, the ginger tabby was resting. His muzzle lay on his forepaws, wiry tail curled around his flank, which rose up and down with each intake and exhale of the cool mountain air. His eyes were closed, though his ears were perked, listening to the gentle crunch of pawsteps upon the fresh layer of snow.
The tom lifted his head as his name was called, eyes opening, slits at first, then purple orbs against flaming fur. Frostfoot recognized the voice of his leader, and sprang to his paws almost immediately.
"Coming, Icestar!" he called in response, bounding to her side on frosty white paws, his tail waving behind him. His eyes shone hopefully as he gazed at the Snowshoe she-cat, though her visage didn't give him the answers he wanted - the answers he needed.

Icestar smiled. "StarClan gave me an answer" she mewed. "The one who walks eternally in frost" she mewed. "Congratulations Frostfoot" she mewed. "You are officially SnowClan's medicine cat." "You will learn from StarClan" she added.

Frostfoot felt his heart burst with joy, mixed with a salty edge of bitter sorrow; great news, indeed, however the cause was of perhaps an even greater misery. He exhaled noisily, relieved as he was to hear the news despite his intents. He truly did care for his Clan.
"Thank-you, Icestar," he murmured, dipping his head respectfully. His words were accompanied by clouds of mist as his breath rose before the two cats. The tabby felt himself grow, as if his new position was already rooting inside him; his tail was raised in the air, his whiskers tingling with the coming duties of a medicine cat.
But with his new place in SnowClan, there came new knowledge, a new way to care for his Clanmates, to keep them - and himself - in line. And also a new escape. He couldn't help but think this was the perfect way to bring himself away from Silentsong, much as he couldn't bear it.
If I can't have her, I don't want anybody else. This will help with that, he thought confidentally, mourning his lost love, but happy to be joining Silentsong among the ranks of the Medicine Cats of the Clans. It comforted him to know that she could not take another mate as her own, either.
While these thoughts were running through his mind, his gaze glittered. "I shall go now to Moonglow's - I mean, my den," he informed his leader quietly. "I'll rest, and take further instruction from StarClan. They might want me to visit Star Island . . ." The tabby trailed off thoughtfully.

"Thank-you, Icestar," he murmured, turning to dip his head once more. It was no longer the nod of a warrior greeting his leader, but the grand sweep of a medicine cat acknowledging his leader.
As the ginger tabby rose to his paws and began to pad away, heading towards his new den, tail twitching comfortabely, he murmured under his breath, "You do not know how much this means to me..."
Before any cat could hear, the winds whipped away his words.
ooc;; i dont have much time tonight, so im prolly gunna post with Frosty in his new den tomorrow =]
